The ACPD stands for the Accessibility Committee for Persons with Disabilities.

The Accessibility Committee for Persons with Disabilities recommends to the City of Hamilton policy, procedure and standards that address the needs and concerns of all disabilities. Our task is to identify barriers in municipal programs and try to prevent new barriers from being created in accordance with the ODA (Ontarians with Disabilities Act) and the AODA (Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act) in matters of Customer Service, Employment, Transportation, Design of Public Spaces and Information and Communication.

The Accessibility Committee for Persons with Disabilities is comprised of citizens of the City of Hamilton with a diverse range of disabilities that strive to consider the needs of all in order to make this city a more inclusive, diverse, equitable and accessible place to live.
